The demo will be free to play as part of the Earth Appreciation Festival on Steam. The festival marks World Earth Day by highlighting games that celebrate the natural world and emphasise the importance of taking good care of our planet. Grow Wild is the perfect fit for the festival, and we’re delighted to be taking part!
|
So, what’s included in the demo? The demo features the first plot of land: a beautiful green field in the Cotswolds where you can explore and discover to your heart’s content. You’ll join the Grow Wild nature club, receive your welcome letter from Professor Vicky Sponge, and meet her grandson Sid who will help you get started.

|
There are 37 unique species to discover in the demo, but that’s just a small teaser for what’s to come; the full game will include over 300 unique species to discover across five distinct biomes, so be sure to Wishlist Grow Wild on Steam to be notified when the full game releases!

We want to say a huge thanks to our playtesters who’ve been diligently testing the game, reporting bugs (no, not that kind), and sharing lovely Grow Wild screenshots on our Discord server. If you’d like to chat with fellow players and nature lovers, you can join the Discord here.

Centipedes are carnivores and eat other insects, whereas millipedes are herbivores and eat plant detritus! Next time someone asks you the difference (a daily occurrence), impress them by saying it’s not just the number of legs!
