I’ve been exlporing/trying to reduce the effect of input lag on my iphone for the past few days in the hope of making my current game feel more responsive. There seems to be very little information about input lag for mobile devices on the web so if anyone has any info please get in touch. 😀
Anyway, I’ve discussed this with a friend and he proposed a way to overcome the input lag if you know the lag time delay. It basically involves going back in time and then recaulculating events based on when you actually touched the screen as opposed to when the device registed the screen touch. This could work in some cases, but it will mean the player will warp from current position to correct position. I hope to test this theory over the next few weeks.
